A peaceful approach to alQaeda and Taliban

Svat region in Pakistan is becoming hub of activities for al Qaeda and Taliban. Recent announcement of US government about continuing the policy of affront towards these two outfits bespeaks of lack of imagination on the part of US government. I am sorry but as an intellectual I must say that the government of US is proving to be lesser and lesser intelligent in tackling this problem of alQaeda -Taliban complex. I had written a letter to honourable President of the State and had made a suggestion to solve his problem on a totally different footing. In case you want to know what I had written to him see page Obama.

One American journalist told me that these governments are not interested in solving a problem totally but their intentions are to keep the problem alive so much so that the politicians can make use of the excuse of these problems to their political gain. I agree to this but only partly. Another journalist from USA wrote to me that my suggestion is far fetched that means not offering immediate solution whereas Obama needs a solution which could be immediate. This second observation looks more tenable to me.

I have studied the crisis and have come with another more acceptable solution and want to present it to the readers of my blog. You may ask me why I should bother for the headache of Barrack Obama. Let him manage it in any way he pleases. To some extend this appears to be a good escapism but I have a different approach to these problems. As Barrack Obama has rightly said; this problem is not limited to only that region but has potentials of spreading to other parts like a cancer and soon the world will find itself in the grip of these mad people of alQaeda and Taliban. We say, “Nip in the bud” and I feel Obama wants to do exactly that.

American forces putting their innocent soldiers to die at the hands of these mad people, making many young American girls’ widows and children orphans, throwing tons of ammunition in that rocky mountainous area and without any results does not make any sense to me. In addition to that I see three basic defects in the whole process. First of all that region belongs to the State of Pakistan and legally, morally and also ethically this act is nothing short of blatant invasion on that country. We all people of the world know by our observation that US is a most irresponsible state and thinks that it can invade any week nation for any stupid excuse. Their invasion on Vietnam is an example to the point. What happened in Vietnam? We expect the same to be in Svat region of Pakistan. Then what to do? You cannot curb these forces of shear madness in this way.

We are in a dilemma, on one side we want the mad people of alQaeda and Taliban to be contained and at the same time US should respect its legal, moral and ethical duties towards the fellow nations. How to do it?

I worked out a suggestion. I present it to you all, just for its academic value. I segregated aspects of the affront in three parts. Part one, US is entering in Svat region without proper and willing consent of the government of Pakistan. Part two, US air force and marine are showering regions arbitrarily causing damage to peaceful local resident. Part three, no results are achieved.

I analysed these three parts in my style and found solutions; they are given here.

Part one can be solved by either purchasing or taking on long lease (say 30 years) that region of Svat from Pakistan government to develop it. Pakistan will surely not give it just for fighting.

When US government takes that region for development, shall invite NGO such as Bill and Malinda foundation to do their research of developing that region. As the region is being developed local people will come to know that the change is for the better and as US mariners will be moving on grounds they shall cover the region properly. Rooting out every small crevice where these mad people may try to hide. I know how British Imperial government rooted out many similar guerrilla fighters in the nineteenth century in India. Access to land is very important for the forces to root out insurgents like alQaeda and Taliban. By continuous constructive work going on, on one side and eradicating vicious forces on the other side, slowly local support shall build up and as this happens; these forces that grow on hatred and envy amongst have-nots will gradually loose the strength.

Total cost of such a strategy shall be much less than that of continuing only aggression. As per my style of working I set up a group of friends and each one takes the side of parties involved and so in this case my one friend was representing Pakistan while I was representing US and in the play my friend objected to the very idea that Pakistan should at all lease this very beautiful region of Svat. In the earlier part of this article I have represented US interest.

He puts up following terms and conditions and if they are accepted then only any sensible Pakistani government shall allow for such a lease. Well, let us see what conditions were presented:

1. Under no excuse directly or indirectly Christian missionaries shall enter that region.

2. US government under the lease shall not give to any multinational corporation any part of the region to establish any industry.

3. Understanding that the region is of tourism potentials, only such activities will be developed as Hotels, Motels etc.

4. Activities such as shooting (movie) can be encouraged inviting Hollywood and Bollywood and other international film producers. Cine studios can be developed to encourage that trade.

5. Local people shall get employment on preferential basis. Next, Pakistanis and then US citizens will be given jobs in this region.

6. In farming activities growing poppy, saffron, apple, cherry, olive, grape and such fruits shall be encouraged.

7. Sheep and cow husbandry shall be encouraged producing milk, meat, skin and relevant products for local as well as export.

8. Roads of best quality will be developed to create a grid of routes so that no part of the region will remain inaccessible.

9. A steady revenue form the developments, is assured to the government of Pakistan.

To that I added US conditions as I visualized:

1. Law and order will be managed by US according to US laws.

2. Americans will develop residential colonies to establish American presence.

To conclude this presentation, I feel if such a constructive approach is accepted Americans will be able to contain these mad forces of alQaeda and Taliban successfully.

Please comment on this for better study of the topic.

Currency Jumble

Many subjects keep crowding in my mind one of them is currencies of various types; and when the other day, I read a news about counterfeit currency I was confused as to what does it mean by counterfeit currency.

I should tell exactly what happened that day. I had been to my Bank to deposit some cash in my account and as usual I was standing in the queue at the counter. There were three persons before me and I had enough time to read various notices and warnings displayed around that place. One warning interested me. It said, “Below given numbered notes are counterfeit and they will not be accepted”. I carefully read the numbers and to be safe saw my notes I had brought to deposit. I was relieved that none of them bore those numbers. Then I saw the man in front of me was carrying some notes and he was holding them in such a way that I could read the numbers on them. To my shock I saw that the notes he was carrying had exactly those numbers given in that warning. I for no sensible reason began to perspire as if I was carrying them. Now I wanted to see what happens when that fellow gives them to deposit. His turn came and to my biggest surprise he could deposit those note to the clerk at the window and just got way without any difficulty. This really disturbed me because I know the style in which these banks work. I knew for certain that these same note will be given to somebody at the other counter where people are withdrawing the money and in this way these counterfeit notes will come in the circulation. I came out of the Bank thinking and worrying. That same day I happened to meet my old friend who was a retired Bank officer of a reputed Bank in Mumbai. I told him the incidence and asked about what is difference between a genuine and counterfeit currency.

He promised to tell me everything about currency management that is in practice but I have to wait till that evening since then one more friend of ours, who is a retired professor of economics, was going to meet us. And so the talk could be more enlightening. That was a good idea and so we met that evening to know more about usages of currencies.

Is Currency wealth?

No! Currency is not wealth but in a way it is a measure or medium of wealth; often mistaken for wealth. In the most ancient times people bartered for the trade and that is the most genuine form of trade but as dealing in merchandise at all the time was not practical; traders introduced a method of representation of the deal they have done and that representation was in the form of some material was to carry and store. That was called indirect barter or credit barter. How it worked is very interesting to know.

Suppose a trader is having goatskin and wants to have salt, the barter rate of these two merchandises is 6 skins to a bag of salt. He gives six skins to the salt man but salt man does not have salt at that time and so he gives the skin man some representative thing of some value say some copper pieces now these copper pieces serve as the measure of the value of those skins. After some time that skin man takes these copper pieces to other salt man and wants to barter these pieces against salt. Now that other salt man accepts the barter and gives the skin man a bag of salt. That means a currency is a via media of two barters. Theoretically all trades are barters, either direct or indirect. Currency is media for indirect barter.

In the ancient times the traders had evolved convenient methods for such indirect or credit barters and they were respected by all concerned traders in those markets since this method made trading very convenient. Later on rulers introduced their moneys to do this representation because different traders had unlike representations and they did create problems and so, may be that the traders requested the rulers to produce the currency of standards for their domain for the sake of convenience. This introduced new problems since different domains had different currencies and they were not recognized by the rulers and so the local traders. To solve this problem exchange values were introduced by the rulers of those provinces between whom the trade often took place.

We see that when a big trader had deals within his domain of marketing his currency (Hundi) was acceptable but not outside and so the exchange values of rulers became more prevalent. Another reason why ruler’s currency was accepted is that whenever there should be any dispute between two traders the matter was going to the ruler for settlements and then there only currency of that ruler was acceptable for settlements. Rulers taxed the traders and traders willingly paid them under the promise that the ruler shall protect them from marauders. Many empires were incidence out of this need of the international traders, and that is history.

Rulers were financially strong enough to introduce more stable coins (most original form of currency) made of precious metals such as copper, silver and gold. However, in China where copper coins were used in the early period traders found carrying these heavy coins not convenient sine they were doing quite big business whenever they did it and so the Emperor of China introduced paper currency (paper was an expensive material in those days) and Europeans later on accepted that currency since, Europeans had also began to do big business by the time they settled as rulers in Asia.

Primarily Gold Standard was common to decide exchange value of the currency but for that one has to barter between the currency and gold whenever the situation arises to settle the deals and END. Normally exchange is not the END but only a part of the continuation of the deal and so no need to get gold. END deal means there shall be no further dealings between the concerned nations any more! This situation often arises in case of international deals (lending and borrowing) between the two governments.

Why such extreme measure of GOLD standard was required?

History shows that, this first stage of currency, where metals were used to represent stored value, and symbols to represent commodities, formed the basis of trade in the Fertile Crescent for over 1500 years. However, the collapse of the Near Eastern trading system pointed to a flaw; in an era where there was no place that was safe to store value, the value of a circulating medium could only be as sound as the forces that defended that store. Trade could only reach as far as the credibility of that ruler. By the late Bronze Age, however, a series of international treaties had established safe passage for merchants (thanks to empire builders like Alexander and others) around the Eastern Mediterranean, spreading from Minoan Crete and Mycenae in the northwest to Elam and Bahrein in the southeast. Although it is not known what functioned as a currency to facilitate these exchanges, it is thought that ox-hide shaped ingots of copper, produced in Cyprus may have functioned as a currency.

It is thought that the increase in piracy and raiding associated with the Bronze Age collapsed, possibly produced by the Peoples of the Sea, brought this trading system to an end. It was only with the recovery of Phoenician trade in the ninth and tenth centuries that saw a return to prosperity, and the appearance of real coinage, possibly first in Anatolia with Croesus of Lydia and subsequently with the Greeks and Persians. Phoenicians are credited for the invention of modern trading practices. In Africa many forms of value store have been used including beads, ingots, ivory, various forms of weapons, livestock, the manila (leather) currency, ochre and other earth oxides, and so on. The manila rings of West Africa were one of the currencies used from the 15th century onwards to buy and sell slaves. African currency is still notable for its variety, and in many places various forms of barter (direct barter) still apply. In India we had cone shells and beads as currency in rural areas even during British Raj.

British rulers insisted for Gold Standard in their dominion all over and ever since, that remained the standard practice since British Empire spread and covered almost the whole of the globe. As business grew due to industrial revolution there was not enough gold to represent the material wealth and so other methods were considered. Fiat Standard was introduced.

GOLD STANDARD is no more in practice unless in exceptional cases such as international borrowings.

What is Fiat standard?

Today, like the currency of most nations, the rupee is fiat money, un-backed by any physical asset. A holder of a Reserve Bank note has no right to demand an asset such as gold or silver from the government in exchange for a note. Consequently, proponents of the intrinsic theory of value believe that the rupee has little intrinsic value (i.e., none except for the value of the paper) and is only valuable as a medium of exchange. International Lending and borrowing amongst nations is not done in fiat value; that is done only in Gold Standards and that is the limit of utility of Fiat standard.

Around 1963 and onwards all nations accepted this Fiat Standard to represent the measure of the wealth in the country and like that in our country also rupee became a fiat currency. Internationally US Dollar became standard currency for international exchange for international trade. In this situation the fiat value of the fiat currency is decided mainly by the demand and as demand of the fiat currency of a nation increases (in international exchange market) the fiat value in relation to Dollar is decided. With this new arrangement the fiat value of our currency is decided by the demand for it in the international exchange market (Demand value) and that being manageable by government agency our government can devalue or overvalue our rupee as against Dollar to get business from US. To retain position of Dollar as the standard currency all over the world US owned multinational Companies have gripped the world in their strong clutches quite successfully.

Today even though our rupee is intrinsically very strong, is being devalued by our government just to get IT orders from US. I personally feel that we must evaluate the need for this stupid devaluation policy in the situation that the real fiat value of Dollar is now as low as 70% of what it was in 2005 (even though Demand value of Dollar is unchanged). Devaluation is easy but to upgrade the value is not that easy. We must enquire why government is doing frequent devaluation without any tangible reason. Business community seems to be at loss looking to this erratic behaviour of our government.

What we should compare is advantage of devaluation against disadvantage. How much we earn (earn Dollars) by devaluation and how much we pay extra to petrol bill due to this devaluation. To my mind devaluation is making our petrol bill larger but then my expert economist pointed to me that since the prices of petrol oil have been lowered we stand to gain from this devaluation and that is why we are not reducing the cost of fossil fuels within the country because we are paying same price as before due to this devaluation. Keeping the petrol bill almost steady! It remains to be seen how much IT business we can garner up by this devaluation. I fear present President of US will not give us much. Our policy to counter effect the strategy of the President of US may annoy that government and it may have adverse effects on our business relations with that country quite possibly.

In place of devaluation policy if our government trades in other more innovative methods to increase demand for rupee in the international market it will help us in the long run but unfortunately our government is being managed by mediocre intelligence. This government can not think of any thing dynamic.

Counterfeit currency, what to worry about?

Finally I asked about how counterfeit currency affects our countries financial stability. To my surprise the answer was negative. He told me counterfeit currency can not harm our internal economy by any ways. Today the currency has only fiat value and so it does not matter who prints it! Counterfeit currency may affect our position in the international market but the type of counterfeiting is possible by Pakistan will have no effect what so ever on our country and so he told me, please do not worry about this. Importantly, internationally rupee has little value and so any amount of counterfeiting is done that makes no difference. Counterfeiting of internationally important currencies like Dollar, Euro, and Pound could be a serious thing but not rupee! In olden days when currency was linked with Gold Standards counterfeiting was a serious crime but after acceptance of Fiat standard it is no more a serious matter. Even so governments still treat counterfeiting as a serious crime and that is because it is a prestige issue for that government. I was told that LTTE of Sri Lanka is having a full fledged security press and they print currencies of countries to purchase their arms and ammunition. I feel it is a gossip.

Today paper currency printing has become a specialized art and only if Pakistan’s own currency printing factory (called security press) takes to do this then only exact reprint of our rupee is possible and not otherwise.

Since counterfeiting is a crime, government will have to take action whenever it is found but whether any action taken or otherwise, technically counterfeit currency makes no change in the fiat value of rupee. Some innocent people may be accidentally possessing any counterfeit and if caught they will be accused but it is a matter of bad luck for them.

During Nixon’s time a lot of counterfeit of Dollar was introduced world wide but it did not make much difference for the international trade as far as India was concerned. Ever increasing demand for Dollar simply wiped out the irregularity and US also did not suffer much.

Bharatvarsh? What Bharatvarsh? Which Bharatvarsh?

A study of concept of nation

We always talk of our country as Bharatvarsh meaning India with grand respect and that is fairly understandable. We often consider that when we say Bhaharvarsh it is today’s India but one historian corrected me on this point by showing that our beloved Baharavarsh is not the same country every time we mention it in different contexts particularly when we refer to historical and also mythological matters. He showed me that there are many Bharatvarsh versions and they each are so much different from today’s India or to put it more correctly British India and referring to those different versions as same as today’s India is grossly wrong.

He told me that according to the records there are eleven different Bharatvarsh versions. Because of differences in the nature of each Bharatvarsh when we refer to them many confusing conclusions are made. Each Bharatvarsh has totally different map. Most ancient Bharatvarsh is Vedic then Ramayana, Mahabharata, Ashok, Harshvardhan, Gupta, Shalivahan, Mogul, Maratha and last two are British India prior to independence and British India after independence.

When we talk of integration of India which India can be a question? This question may be taken by some as trivial but in actuality it is not trivial. Another point he mentioned is also very important in today’s context. He said, up to Mogul Bharatvarsh (or India) this land was mentioned by different travelers as Bharatvarsh but after Mogul period it was mentioned as Hind. This “Hind” was further changed in “India” when Europeans came in this country.

Surprisingly, I found that we have not named our nation but both the names given to this piece of land are given by outsiders, Arabs and Europeans. First mention of word Bharatvarsh is found in Vishnu Purana which is supposedly a product during Emperor Ashok. In that it is clearly mentioned that a land confined between South Seas and north icy mountains is the land of Bharat. Now Bharatvarsh became India. British carved out a piece of land as their empire and that included many lands which today are not included in present day British India. At the time of Independence that large Pre-independence British India was cut into pieces. Pakistan was created Ceylon, Burma was separated and we got today’s India. This elaborate description is given to show that what we call our India is not developed by any one of us but created by previous rulers, British people created it. Today’s India is a British legacy, what we are doing today is only trying to keep that as it is and for that we call it integrated India. Why we call it integrated India? Let us see that.

When we see history of many lands in this world, we see that the maps of all these so called nations have changed so often that one sees no sense in attaching any undue importance to those maps; recent example is that of Soviet Russia, then why should we insist to be so proud of a particular map? I could not answer the question raised by that Historian. Can you?

Why to be proud of a particular map of the nation? This question gives out another question. What is the natural character of a nation? If nations keep changing, is it worth to bother about any particular map of a nation? For whose benefit should we be proud of a particular map of a nation? This enquiry is not with reference to only India but this pertains to all nations. A study was conducted by a group of amateur investigators to find out if there is any possibility of natural nation. Here I say natural nation because what nations we are talking of are all based on those formed by some ruler or the other. And so they are all artificial nations with changing maps by political significance.

First hypothesis was put up to differentiate natural nation from artificial nation and that says, maps of natural nations do not vary much but by natural causes while maps of artificial nations keep changing as per the changes in the political environment of that place. Some artificial nations can even vanish from the map of the world in case of wars. Natural nations are permanent and artificial nations are not so permanent.

Second hypothesis was put up to define a natural nation and that could show whether that part of land is natural nation or not. Many artificial nations can be shown to be not natural nations. To define natural nations two basic characteristics of human society were used. Language and culture were those two basic characteristics. With this the definition of a natural nation was prepared; that says a piece of land where language and culture are same that is natural nation.

Third hypothesis was put up to define artificial nation. That says, a piece of land held by force or by understanding as a political unit irrespective of its status as natural nation or otherwise, is called artificial nation. With this definition we see that all politically formed nations are definitely artificial but they may or may not be natural nations. Corollary of this says a natural nation may be a politically formed artificial nation also. This gives a very interesting presentation that a nation could be at the same time both natural as well as artificial.

Some nations such as UK, USA, other countries of Europe, Japan, Australia come under natural as well as artificial nations. Such nations should be considered as PERFECT NATIONS.

Some investigators wanted to define on the line of geography and others wanted to use historical background but that was discarded on the grounds that both these things have no relevance to present human society. Using religion to define a nation was also ruled out because already there are many natural nations with same religion but different languages and culture. A nation is made of human society and so those things that make human society are the characteristics which should be and must be used to define a nation. Language and culture are the characteristics that make the nation and not its geography and history. Finally above given definition was accepted and we decided to study various human societies with reference to this definition.

We first of course, took India for the study. Presently we consider India as a whole nation which was given to people of India by British rulers who left this land almost fifty years ago. With the definition of natural nation according to which we were studying nations of today, all over the world, it was found that present political India is not a natural nation but artificial one. India is made up of many natural nations. India does not have same culture all over. Every linguistic state has distinctly separate cultural values. So India is an artificial nation.

Linguistic states were formed by an act some years ago in our country; that was to recognize these natural nations within the artificial nation of India. Today we see that present political masters in this country are trying to undermine the natural nations in the name of integration of India. This experiment is disturbing the structure of natural nations like Maharashtra, Tamilnadu, Bengal and Assam. Since we know natural nations cannot be destroyed by any attempt we can say that this experiment will boomerang and will ultimately distort India which is an artificial nation. It may even cause disintegration of this artificial nation and natural nations within, will become independent nations. Present day rulers show utter disrespect for the natural nations and that is because, one opinions says, our ruling party leader as well as prime minister and also opposition leader are all not actually belonging to this India but by some adjustment they are accepted as Indians. I mean Manmohan Singh and Advani are refugees from Pakistan and Sonia Gandhi is an Italian migrant.

This revelation pin pointed to many other political nations in the world such as Pakistan, Russia, China and many more. They were all made up of many natural nations. This clearly explained the types of strife we see in all these nations. When natural nations of different languages and cultures are forcibly put together these problems are bound to be showing up there presence and the problems of clashes between different language groups and cultural groups are unavoidable.

Following questions were asked to the investigating group and I request the readers to give their views, opinions, suggestions on them. Even you can try to give solution to them. You can join the group also.

1) Why we must allow formation of artificial nations at all when natural nations can exist successfully as perfect nations?

2) How artificial nations are formed? What causes that?

3) Compare perfect nations (natural nations who are also political nations) with artificial nations (who are only political nations). Comparison should be on the bases of identity aspect only.

4) What other characteristics should be considered to decide a natural nation.

5) Tibet is an example in point. This natural nation did not have its defense mechanism and so China forcibly occupied it. Does it mean a nation is made of defense mechanism? Is defense mechanism an essential part of a nation whether natural or artificial?

6) What are other essential parts to make a viable nation?

7) Is patriotism essential to make a nation?

8) Is political aspect an essential element of a nation?

9) How an identity of a nation is decided?

10) How a national language gives the nation its separate identity. Can a nation be without a national language? (India is in fact a nation without a national language!)

11) How culture gives the nation its separate identity.

12) What decides the size of the nation?

13) Financial power, military power, intelligence and other competencies decide the strength of a nation.

In the second part of this exercise we shall compare Europe and India to find out plus and or minus points of a perfect nation against an artificial nation. There are many similarities in these to parts of the world and so they are taken for comparison. Europe is an example of many perfect nations preferring to accept common economic identity. India is an example of many natural nations combining to form one artificial nation.

As usual I request the readers to send in their comments and let me know how they feel about my rendering on this subject.

Extremism, how to deal with it?

Religious extremism of Islam is presently the subject of discussion today. It is believed that this extremism started by king Saudi’s family from Saudi Arabia. The history says, in year 1744 AD, Muhammad Ibna Abda Al Vahab, a Muslim priest and preacher came to the camp of Muhammad Ibna Saudi at his estate in Riyadh. He stayed there for some time. Vahab’s intention was to preach Islam of his interpretation and convert all people to his cult of Islam. He claimed that he and only he knew the real meaning of the teachings of Islam. He proclaimed through his teachings that one must pray to only Allah and not even to bother to respect other saints in the Islamic tradition. For spreading his message to other people he needed support of some ruler. At Riyadh he went into the agreement with Muhammad Ibna Saudi, the ruler of that place and according to that Saudi shall support Vahab and Vahab will consent to whatever Saudi shall do by admitting that Koran supports Saudi in whatever he does. With this agreement Vahab actually executed many places of Islamic saints called Pir and distorted the shrines. Vahab proclaimed that even to think of anything other than Allah is sacrilege and so, whoever indulged in such acts is killed in the most unceremonious manner. He actually did so with the help of Saudi. In return Saudi developed ambition for larger terrain and began to show aggression to the neighbouring areas in and around Red Sea to Gulf of Iran. He conquered two most important places for Islam, Mecca and Medina. During 1818 Ottoman Empire defeated King Saudi and he had to flee to Kuwait. In due course Saudi again attacked Rashid’s army and regained hold of Riyadh. Vahab realized that it is not possible to spread message of his Islam by conquering lands, it is a very tedious and arduous way and so he began to think of some thing more subtle. He invented extremism and guerrilla warfare. He decided to use method of terror to force people to accept his concept of Islam per force in the Islamic world; it was a sort of re-conversion of Muslims to his Islam.

Present Saudi Arabia was established in 1932 and an American company, discovered first fossil oil well in the Saudi Arabia around 1936. Ever since, American hold became stronger on this land of oil. Vahabis did not like that situation but could not do much but to revenge that they began to indulge in extremist activities using guerrilla warfare to disturb America. America made a blunder by encouraging this very force to fight against Russian invasion on Afghanistan and a child was born to alQeada called Taliban. Taliban fights only in the state of Afghanistan while alQeada is active in other parts of the world.

It is claimed by some experts that Islamic extremism under alQeada is related to the hold of America on Saudi Arabia. If Americans release their hold on this Arabian kingdom, automatically this extremism will wean away. Hatred is the main approach of these extremists. There is a method in hatred and that is put to use very efficiently by the followers of Arabian extremism.

That method is like this. Hatred for any one thing could be converted into hatred for another thing was the principle used to spread hatred amongst people. For example, hatred for rich by poor can be converted into hatred for community who is usually well placed financially. If a religion is equated with a community who is rich then hatred for rich is convertible into hatred for that community and their religion also. This method is used by many organisations to spread hatred amongst communities in the world by other extremist forces also. That includes extremist activist like Naxalites, R.S.S. and communists. Extremism is practiced and spread by hatred only. Revenge is the ultimate aim of all the activities of extremists. Ordinary man or woman is always in the state of hatred for something or the other and that makes this process very easy. People are always complaining about better placed ones and this temperament can be converted into full fledged extremestic attitude. Vahabis knew this fact and they used it to spread message of hatred amongst those people by propagating amongst these people to spread desire for revenge. This method is not new. Communists used it to spread communism. Brahmanic chauvinism was spread through their organ Rashtria Swayansevak Sangh and if you read the lectures of Dr. Golwalkar one can understand how the message of hatred is spread to develop enmity amongst communities. Vahabis did the same thing. The difference between Vahabi propaganda and that made by Dr. Golwalkar against Muslims is in degrees. One can say Dr. Golwalkar’s propaganda was milder and that by Vahabis is very caustic. Both wanted to destroy the other community. Golwalkar only talked of it but could not implement it while Vahabis actually implemented it by doing all types of destruction of hated community.

Another important aspect of this attitude of hatred is that it is in a way habit forming. That means if one develops hatred for some body or something then after annihilation of that his desire for hatred begins to find something else to hate; and the experience is that they do find something very weak and unprotected something and then the hatred campaign continues against that. The process of hatred continues unabated. Any amount of pacifying efforts tried by other agencies to pacify these haters makes them more revengeful and it looks that the disease of hatred continues to grow relentlessly. Extreme measures suggested for this disease is to kill those people. However, civilized society does not accept that approach.

Some psychologists say, sadism is behind the extremestic activities and these people who propagate it are actually psychologically sick. They need treatment to correct their values of life. Those who follow the path of extremestic approach under the influence of the propagators are to be treated differently than those who propagate message of hatred. One more important angle to extremism is also found and that says that there are two types of extremists, one due to superioritive complex and other due to inferioritive complex. Vahabi’s alQeada and such extremist forces come under superioritive complex also Brahmanic extremism of Dr. Golwalkar comes under R.S.S is superioritive complex while that under Naxalites and Communists is due to inferioritive complex. Extremestic behaviour of white people in America and in South Africa with non-white comes under superioritive complex.

Experts suggest that extremism under inferioritive complex can be treated and by giving the have-nots what they want (normally their demands are minimal) these people are cured of the disease. But with extremism due to superioritive complex things are difficult to treat. They never respond to the treatment and so with them the extreme measure of killing them is the only way remains to save the society from their activities. Other effective alternative to killing is to suffocate these forces of vital source of energy such as financial power. Extremists under superioritive complex can be controlled by this method.

When I studied the extremestic tactics practised by R.S.S under the influence of Dr. Hedgewar and Dr. Golwalkar, I found some very interesting things. Today’s Brahman community is mostly free from either superioritive complex or inferioritive complex and since they do not harbour these defects all attempts of R.S.S. failed utterly in getting any response from the Brahmans themselves. As a result these R.S.S. people began to practice constructive activities by opening NGOs to help other lesser lucky sections of the society and I can say surely that this approach of Brahman community literally converted these potentially extremists into moderates. Similarly outcry of many civilized Europeans and American whites controlled the extremestic activities of sadist whites and their extremestic activities are now under control save some stray occurrences.

This observation suggests that extremestic activities of alQaeda and Taliban and other related groups can be controlled if civilized Muslim people be firm and openly and firmly declares these activists as absolutely anti-Islamic and create wide propaganda to dismantle their hold on Muslim community. However I was told by an activist that mullahs are literally purchesed by alQeada fellows to be on their side. On estimation is about US $ 23,000, 000/- are spent on this yearly. All this money comes from wealthy Arab businessmen.

But things are not so easy. We see that, desire to hate can be transferred from one topic to other and so find that, some people who are naturally sadistic in their approach to life and towards other people can be always available to alQaeda and Taliban. They enjoy violence and would like to indulge in it under any pretext. Islam or otherwise, they will continue their sadistic activities and commit violent acts. Mostly they are under superioritive complex and so these people are permanently incurable as such, the only way to save society from them is to destroy them or weaken by suffocating the financial resources. They are like gangrene, as we prefer to cut away that part of the body affected by gangrene, these people must be killed in the most unceremonious way without any remorse without waiting for the sombre law to act; if not possible to stop their financial support.

As usual I request the readers to send in their comments and let me know how they feel about my rendering on this subject. Do you agree that they must be destroyed?
